Sakan Kareem project is one of the key components of the presidential initiative Haya Karima, aiming to improve living conditions for low-income families in the most underserved villages by providing dignified housing that ensures both quality of life and human dignity. Over 80,000 homes have been identified across 1,477 villages in 52 districts within 20 governorates, through collaboration between the Ministries of Local Development and Social Solidarity, along with civil society organizations such as Misr El Kheir, Orman, and Haya Karima. The project focuses on upgrading essential infrastructure within homes, including sanitation systems, access to clean water, roofing, electricity, and doors and windows. It is implemented in partnership with banks and private sector companies as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts, contributing to social justice and promoting integrated development in rural Egypt.
